The B’WISE Founders Academy is starting up again! And this time we are doing things just a little differently. No six separate workshops, but three modules of two sessions. This allows more scope to go into greater depth, apply what you have learned in your own startup in between, and build further on what you have discovered during the second session.

As a founder, you don't need to be an accountant. But you do want to know what your figures say about the health and future of your startup. How much runway do you have left? When do you need to raise new capital? And what happens if revenue comes in later or your team grows faster?

In the module 'Growth on figures, not on feeling' of the B'WISE Founders Academy, you work with your own startup and figures. You build a financial model that allows you to look ahead and calculate different growth scenarios.

You will work with revenue, costs, liquidity and key financial KPIs. For example, you will discover what happens if your revenue lags behind, you hire people sooner, or you grow faster than expected. This helps you to spot risks earlier and better determine how much room you have to invest.

During the module, you will work with Diamond FMS. You will be given access to the software and will learn how to build and maintain a budget and cash flow forecast yourself.

No fictitious cases: you work as much as possible with your own figures, assumptions and growth plans. At the end, you will have a financial model that you can continue to use afterwards to substantiate choices and enter into stronger discussions with investors and financers.
